Interserve has landed a a £7m (AED34.7m) design, build and refurbishment contract in Dubai.

The UK firm's subsidiary, Khansaheb will design, build and refurbish a 15-year-old hotel on behalf of Enaba Hospitality.

The 255-room Mövenpick Hotel & Apartments will be upgraded with new guestrooms, suites and corridors and to ensure compliance with the latest regulations in Dubai.

Khansaheb will carry out significant mechanical and electrical work including the replacement of all air conditioning, guestroom management systems, lighting and sanitary ware. It will also advise the client of any other critical repairs or replacement works that may be required to be incorporated into the current scope. The project also calls for replacement of all furniture, fittings and equipment, which will be procured through local manufacturers and suppliers.
