Air Dispersion Technology News On Display During ISH'19 In Frankfurt

Construction News Image
When ISH'19 opens its doors in Frankfurt in Week 11, the team from FabricAir is ready to show the world of HVAC professionals a new innovative solution that allows two separate airflow solutions to unite in the same duct. Drop by hall 8, booth no. K60 to see the newcomer along with new custom colour options and a brand new product catalogue fresh off the printer.

The FabricAir® VarioDuct™ is the latest innovation to come out of the Danish-based original fabric duct manufacturer. This new type of air dispersion duct can be optimised for both heating and cooling purposes in the same solution. Thus it becomes significantly more energy-efficient than conventional systems.

Optimising for comfort in heating and cooling scenarios requires very different flow models and airflow patterns. In heating scenarios, longer more precise throws are necessary for the heat to comfortably reach the occupied zone. Using the same pressure and nozzles for cooling purposes would create unpleasant drafts. Hence, until now one size didn't fit all, but now it does.

The necessary flexibility comes from an internal membrane that efficiently separates the two customised flow patterns, allowing different air volumes, different static pressures and different temperatures. The Delta T can vary from low to high between the two sections without compromising occupant comfort.

A damper, which can be either manually handled or automated, shifts the position of the membrane. Once a section is active, the membrane is kept in place by the static pressure. This means that it does not flutter or cause irregularities in the airflow.

Using the FabricAir® VarioDuct™ it is no longer necessary to compromise comfort and airflow quality by optimising for average conditions with a less pronounced Delta T. The two separate sections enable ideal performance regardless of the changing conditions created by seasonal variations and heat generating production processes.

To learn more about the FabricAir® VarioDuct™ stop by ISH, hall 8, booth K60, or go to www.fabricair.com/varioduct.
