Welsh Wood Supplier Appoints Communications Specialist

Wales-based LIGNIA® Wood Company has appointed a PR specialist ahead of its launch into the global marketplace.

PR Agency One will develop and implement the company's communication strategy, focusing on on raising awareness of LIGNIA amongst key audiences, driving lead generation and positioning the brand as a true innovator within the traditional timber market.

The LIGNIA process involves modifying softwood into a product with all the performance and aesthetic of hardwoods such as oak and teak. LIGNIA is both legally and sustainably sourced. The business will primarily supply the construction sector, with a focus on decking, cladding and flooring, as well as yacht deck manufacturing.

This announcement follows the recent completion of LIGNIA's state-of-the-art commercial production facility in South Wales.

James Crawford, managing director at PR Agency One, said: "LIGNIA is a genuinely innovative British manufacturer with a great story to tell. Its beautiful, durable and sustainable product is a great proposition for both the yachting and construction sectors. We're therefore excited to be supporting the business as it launches and looks to scale up in the UK and beyond. Watch this space."

Nigel Pompeus, LIGNIA Wood Company's Senior Marketing Manager, added: "The role of PR is critical in getting our message across to specific B2B audiences such as architects and yacht brands and PR Agency One is eminently suited to achieving this. They have breadth, depth and sector experience and are already delivering results."
