Kier has promoted contracts manager Phil McDowell to the role of operations director of its Scotland division.

Phil will also join the Board of Directors for Kier Construction Scotland & North East. 

Brian McQuade, Managing Director of Kier Construction Scotland and North East said: "Phil's talents were recognised through his ability to effectively deliver key projects in a collaborative manner with external and internal stakeholders. He is a huge asset, not only to Kier Construction, but to the various clients, consultants and suppliers that he works in partnership with."


Phil McDowell added: "I'm delighted to join the Board and take up this new role. It's an exciting time for Kier Construction as we continue to operate effectively in our chosen markets and have recently secured over £100m of new contracts in our business unit in the last few months alone and I look forward to working with the Board and teams across this country to deliver this pipeline of work."
