Kier has landed a major contract with Manchester Metropolitan University to deliver a new residential development.
The Birley Residences Phase 2 scheme will involve three blocks of student accommodation comprising six, 11 and 16-storey blocks. It will house a total of 491 residential spaces.
Other features include a state-of-the-art gym on the ground floor, along with group study areas.
Located at the Birley Fields campus, the new development will consist of an in-situ concrete frame, traditional brickwork façades, offsite manufactured bathroom pods and the full internal fit out inclusive of all furniture, fixtures and equipment.
Peter Commins, Managing Director for Kier North West, said: "This project is a key part of supporting the growing number of students attending Manchester Met and it's our privilege to be again working with the University."
