Mears Group Branch Agrees £250m Property Deal

Mears Group branch, Plexus, has acquired £250 million worth of housing schemes.

Plexus focuses on long term housing schemes with a particular emphasis on working with local authorities to support UK forces veteran housing requirements as well as aiming to assist in reducing homelessness and meeting additional care and support needs.

The company aims to let the social housing out under both shared ownership and affordable/social rent.

Law firm BPE Solicitors acted for Plexus on the acquisition.

BPE Commercial Property Partner, Jo Bewley said: "We have acted for the wider Mears Group for over 20 years and are delighted to have acted on this deal for Plexus which will see the start of significant investment in social housing in the UK."

Plexus will serve as the Registered Provider.

CBRE Global Investors raised the £250m funding for the schemes.
