Taylor Wimpey has welcomed seven new apprentices to its Plumb Park development in Exeter.

The apprentices, aged between 18 and 27, are undertaking paid work in carpentry and electrical installation at the Exmouth site.

This new batch of apprentices brings Taylor Wimpey's Exeter region total to 14. Other apprentices are working across site management, carpentry, bricklaying, plumbing and various other trades.

Richard Harrison, Land and Planning Director at Taylor Wimpey Exeter, said: "Talented apprentices are the future of our production business and we are investing in apprentices to help train the workforce of tomorrow. Skilled labourers and technicians are key to building quality homes and we are committed to ensuring that the right amount of trained individuals are brought into the industry."
