Construction work has commenced to transform the former Bolton Community College site into a new Audi dealership.
Located off Manchester Road, the Audi centre will feature a 9,000 sq ft showroom, a 21-bay workshop for servicing and have parking space for more than 100 new and used cars.
It will be operated by Jardine Motors Group.
Deputy Leader of Bolton Council, Cllr Ebrahim Adia, said: "This major private investment from Jardine Motors Group will give a completely new look to this part of town.
"It shows confidence in our town and supports the transformation of a key gateway into the town centre.
"The dealership will be next to 'Trinity Quarter' a key development area in our £1bn masterplan.
"We are also making good progress to bring forward redevelopment proposals which will further transform the area."
Work is progressing well on site with the steel frame already in place and roofing work ongoing.
The deal for the site was secured via a partnership between Bolton Council and Public Sector Plc.
The new Audi dealership will welcome its first customers this summer.
