Nixon Hire has placed a £10 million order with JCB, marking the company's largest single order for equipment.
The firm will take delivery of 230 JCB telehandler machines throughout 2019, ranging in sizes from 7m to 17m.
This order forms part of Nixon Hire's commitment to spend over £22 million in 2019 as part of its capital expenditure (CAPEX) schedule.
Announcing the order, Graham Nixon Managing Director of Nixon Hire said: "Telehandlers are a core product for Nixon Hire and JCB machines remain in high demand with customers from a wide range of industries due to their durability, comfort and reliability. We have placed such a large order to meet this demand and to fulfil our planned fleet replacement programme.
"Running and maintaining a modern fleet of equipment is a priority for Nixon Hire. Regularly purchasing kit and replacing older machines with new, ensures our equipment offers the latest in safety features and engine emission technology.
"New technologies and product development is something I am passionate about and is demonstrated in the innovation range we launched in 2018.
"Nixon Hire have been trading for 52 years and our ambition to be the number one hire company for plant, site accommodation, toilets and welfare facilities is stronger than ever."
