Pegasus Group's plans to build new homes in Swadlincote, Derbyshire, have a taken a major step forward.
South Derbyshire Council has approved outline planning permission for the next parcel of land for new homes at Cadley Park in the National Forest.
Up to 68 homes will be built on the 4.5-acre 'Parcel A' site on behalf of landowner Harworth Group.
Pegasus Group is providing planning, urban design and landscape services on the project.
These new homes will add to the continuing development at Cadley Park which, when complete, will include 600 new homes across three parcels. The wider project will also involve a country park, two 9-hole golf courses, a driving range and 4,000 sq ft of commercial/leisure development.
Cadley Park will also include 132 homes on Parcel B, currently being built by Taylor Wimpey, and up to 400 new homes on Parcel C.
Edward Catchpole, Development Manager from Harworth Group with responsibility for Cadley Park, said: "This is a major milestone for Harworth Group in what has been a long-term programme of planning one of the Midlands' largest new residential developments. Developing coherent plans across a number of discrete parcels always poses a challenge but Pegasus and South Derbyshire have worked extremely well together to bring them forward. We now look forward to marketing Parcel A to housebuilders in the Spring."
