Plans have been submitted for a £130 million housing development in Goole, East Yorkshire.
The Beal Homes plans involve building 800 new homes over a 15-year period.
If approved, construction work is expected to begin on the homes this summer.
The overall scheme will be the largest residential development in the Goole area for many years and will make a major contribution to the requirements of the East Riding Local Plan for the delivery of almost 2,000 new homes to be built in Goole up to 2029.
It will include the provision of a new primary school and additional open space.
Beal Homes Chief Executive Richard Beal said: "We're excited to have submitted detailed plans for the first phase of what will be a landmark development for our business.
"This will be the largest single development we have ever delivered and will make a major contribution to our ambitious growth strategy.
"We see Goole as an up-and-coming area enjoying substantial investment and economic growth. That stimulus is creating significant demand for high-quality new homes that this development aims to meet.
"This major residential scheme is a huge investment into Goole, complementing commercial developments by Siemens and others. New highly-skilled jobs and business opportunities are coming to Goole and we're providing the high-quality, contemporary homes needed for local families and people attracted to the area.
"As well as creating desirable new homes for people working in and around Goole, the development site is also perfectly located for travelling to work in Hull, Leeds, York, Doncaster and Sheffield, all of which can be reached in well under an hour."
