A major regeneration project has been successfully completed in Surrey with the delivery of a new large-scale mixed-use development.
Property development company Linkcity completed the Addlestone One regeneration project with Bouygues UK as the main contractor.
The development incorporates restaurants, cafes, a Premier Inn hotel, a new cinema operated by The Light, retail including a Waitrose supermarket, public spaces and car parking into the existing town centre.
It also offers 213 apartments, including 18 for shared ownership and 35 social rented homes.
The six-acre town-centre site is located around the existing Runnymede Civic Centre.
Linkcity's Managing Director, Nicolas Guérin, said: "Addlestone One is the result of a strong partnership between Runnymede Borough Council and Linkcity, creating a new place for people to shop, dine out or watch a film as well as providing much-needed new homes. Having completed a major mixed-use town-centre regeneration project in Bedford last year and with work currently underway creating a new town centre for Canning Town in East London, these large-scale, transformational projects are a real specialism for us and we are proud to continue our success with the completion of this high-quality development."
John Rice, Runnymede Borough Council's Director of Commercial Services, added: "This major development is part of our vision to revitalise the town centre so that it functions as a vibrant, attractive and connected heart for the local area. With the completion of Addlestone One we have maximised the use of a six-acre site, creating new homes, amenities and jobs, contributing to the local economy and adding to the quality of life for local residents and visitors alike."
