Yanmar Construction Equipment Europe (CEE) has expanded its equipment portfolio with the launch of its ViO82 zero tail swing midi-excavator. Perfectly blending technology and innovation, the new model will be available to order through dealers nationwide from December.
Offering the efficiency and productivity of a large excavator with the space-saving benefits of a much smaller model, the ViO82 delivers unparalleled performance. A true zero tail swing excavator, neither the counterweight or upper frame overhang the unit’s tracks, making the 8,200KG model perfect for operation within tight urban spaces or single carriageways.
The ViO82 delivers remarkable lifting capability, unmatched stability and torsional stiffness. The boom itself has been specifically designed to swing up to 60° on both sides, in order to maximise operator efficiencies.
Powered by Yanmar's 3.3L 4TNV98C-WBV1 water-cooled diesel engine, delivering 41.5kW (55.6 HP) gross power at 1,900 RPM, the ViO82 achieves a digging force of 63.5kN (bucket), 25° gradeability and a travel speed of 5 kmph. The addition of Yanmar’s VIPPS21 two-pump independent hydraulic system, which regulates hydraulic flow based on engine speed, minimises pressure loss and improves smooth operation.
A common rail direct injection system allows the engine’s ECU to fine-tune combustion and optimise performance, while cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) technology further reduces exhaust emissions. This, combined with auto-deceleration and eco-mode (which limits power when duty cycles require minimal movement) makes the ViO82 one of Yanmar’s most environmentally-friendly models ever.
The ViO82 further benefits from a comfortable cabin, fully-adjustable air suspension seat as standard and LED lighting. Operator safety has also been prioritised, with a ROPS and FOPS approved design, 360° visibility, large footstep and anti-slip system.
