A major milestone has been marked on the University of Huddersfield's new £30 million centre for the study of art, design and architecture.
The new centre will be named after famous local artist, Dame Barbara Hepworth.
Dame Barbara's granddaughter, Dr Sophie Bowness conducted a "topping out" ceremony on the building, turning a bolt on one of the 146 aluminium panels that will be fixed to the glazed walls of the structure.
Morgan Sindall Managing Director Pat Boyle, along with other key figures from the firm, attended the ceremony.
The contractor's "dream team" was also praised by Vice-Chancellor Professor Bob Cryan for ensuring construction work was nine weeks ahead of schedule.
The Barbara Hepworth Building will be completed in the spring and be ready for use at the start of the 2019 academic year.
