Construction News editor, Tom Fitzpatrick said: "We are proud to recognise the people and businesses striving to improve the construction industry's reputation and support for its workers. From promoting better health, to making the industry more diverse and welcoming of all people, our winners are setting the bar for others to follow.

"This industry needs to improve its performance on issues including diversity, the gender pay gap and mental and occupational health, while attracting future generations to consider careers in construction. Congratulations to our winners, who have shown they are leading the way."

Another of Laing O'Rourke's employees, crane driver Katie Kelleher was also shortlisted as a finalist in the Inspire Me category.
