Wates Construction has begun work to deliver a new office building at Wellington Place in Leeds.

Ground works commenced on 4 Wellington Place for the new BREAMM excellent building.

The building is due to be completed in 2020.

Wates is delivering the project on behalf of developer and asset manager, MEPC.

When complete, 4 Wellington Place will offer 156,000 sq ft of Grade A office, retail and leisure space.

Paul Pavia, Head of Development, MEPC, said: "We've had another very successful year so far here at Wellington Place and 4 Wellington Place marks the next stage of that. This phase of the development will complete the east end of the masterplan, providing our customers, both present and future with the highest quality working environment available in Leeds."
