Lighting technologies company Helvar has appointed Pasi Niittymäki as the company's new Chief Financial Officer.
The appointment comes as former CFO Markku Laine retired after 32 years with Helvar and its parent company.
Mr Niittymäki brings 22 years of expertise across a wide range of industries. He joins Helvar from the role of CFO at Telia Finland. He previously held various senior management roles in technology companies, including his position as CEO of the leading Finnish digital agency Nitro FX.
"It's an incredibly exciting time to join Helvar as the business is going through a fundamental change - from lighting control systems to advanced lighting & building intelligence solutions; from a product focused to a market driven way of working," he said. "I'm very impressed with Helvar's start-up attitude which is evident in Helvar's agility and innovations – a very unique feature in a company with a 97-year history. Being at the technology forefront, eager to innovate, combined with delivering solid financial results reflects my own business values. I look forward to joining the Helvar team and meeting partners and customers in the months ahead."
Helvar's CEO Adel Hattab added: "With his broad CFO/leadership experience, having worked across various markets, managing and coaching teams, Pasi's professional record is impressive. I am confident he will excel in his new role in Helvar."
