Utility search specialist Cornerstone Projects has received an international certification for its success in service reliability and process controls.
The company was awarded the ISO 9001:2015 standard following an independent assessment by the British Assessment Bureau.
ISO 9001 was first introduced in 1987 and requires organisations to demonstrate that they do what they say they do and that they have a Quality Management System in place to ensure consistency and improvement; ensuring high levels of performance and customer satisfaction. Certified organisations are committed to continuous improvement and are assessed to ensure progress is being maintained.
Duncan Phillips, Projects Director at Cornerstone Projects, said: "We are particularly pleased to have achieved our ISO 9001 accreditation so quickly. Our first audit was only in July and it really underlines what great shape our processes were in prior to the initial assessment. We've always been totally committed to our customers and to the excellent quality they expect to receive. The accreditation will provide further reassurance to our growing base of construction clients."
The benefits of certification to ISO 9001 include:
•Streamlining an organisation's procedures;
• Delivering consistency to an organisation's service delivery;
• Improving efficiencies and reducing errors;
• Improving an organisation's management practices;
• Enhanced status;
• Competitive advantage;
• Lower insurance premiums.
