Structural steelwork specialist Billington has appointed Ian Michael Lawson as its Non-Executive Chairman.

Having recently served as the Chief Executive Officer of Severfield, Mr Lawson was also previously a main Board Director of Kier Group for 13 years.

He will officially join Billington from 01 October 2018. Peter Hems, currently Non-Executive Chairman of the Group, will step down as Chairman from 01 October but has agreed to remain as a Non-Executive Director of the Company until 31 December 2018.
