Construction materials group, Breedon, has strengthened its senior team by appointing a new Non-Executive Director.
Peter Cornell will join the Board on 01 October. He is a Partner in Metric Capital, a Special Situations Fund targeting mid-sized companies throughout Europe, as well as being a current Non-Executive Chairman of Grant Thornton (C.I.) and Lexington Consultants. In addition, he is currently a Non-Executive Director of Schroders (C.I.) Limited, F&C Commercial Property Holdings Limited and IE Business School in Madrid.
Prior to founding Metric Capital with his two partners in 2011, Mr Cornell was a Managing Director at Terra Firma, one of Europe's leading private equity firms. He also spent more than 20 years with international law firm Clifford Chance, latterly as Global Managing Partner.

Breedon added a further Non-Executive Director will be appointed before the end of this year.
