Offsite construction specialist Caledonian has secured first place on a £300 million modular framework for the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA).

The company and its partner architects HLM have been appointed to first place on the ESFA Batch C Modular Framework, which involves delivering permanent, component based buildings and facilities for the ESFA's new secondary schools block replacement programme.

Being awarded first place immediately secures two projects with a combined value of £12m, with potential to realise further schemes within the £250m funding allocated to the lot.
