University College London (UCL) has started searching for a contractor to deliver a £90 million student accommodation and academic spaces project.
The Pool Street West scheme, which is now out to tender, involves developing one 16-storey tower and another 20-storey tower at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park site.
Designed by a Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands-led team, the 30-month project will see 14,500m2 of residential space provided across 524 rooms, in addition to 5,497m2 of generic space and research labs within an academic podium.
Overall, the project is part of the UCL East programme, with the first phase of construction due to start in 2021.
