Further 215 Former Carillion Staff Secure New Jobs - OR

Nearly 12,000 jobs have so far been saved following the collapse of industry services giant, Carillion.

A spokesperson for the Official Receiver has confirmed a further 215 staff will transfer to new suppliers, taking the total number of jobs safeguarded to 11,954 (66% of the pre-liquidation workforce).

However, a further 12 roles have been made redundant.

The spokesperson said: "Secure ongoing employment has been confirmed for a further 215 staff who are transferring to new suppliers, taking the total number of jobs saved to 11,954.

"Regrettably 12 job losses are being announced and those leaving the business this week will be provided with every support to find new work by Jobcentre Plus’ Rapid Response Service.

"Discussions continue with potential purchasers for Carillion’s remaining contracts and with staff, elected employee representatives and unions as these arrangements are confirmed."
