UK architecture firm HLM is targeting future growth after making a number of strategic promotions to its Board.

Richard O'Neil takes on the role of Chairman from Chris Liddle, who steps up to be Chairman of Covalent, while Karen Mosley becomes Managing Director.

In addition, the firm has also appointed five new Directors; Jamie Wilson, Mick Scherdel, Jeremy Pickard, Lorraine Robertson and Simon Bell. Nick Beecroft, David Cafferty, Mark Staniland, John Clarke and Chris Liddle all remain Directors.

Mr O'Neill said: "The five new Directors we have appointed have been part of an Executive Development programme running for over 18 months, which means they join our board in full readiness to take on their new role.

"They have great energy and are now perfectly placed to make further positive contributions to our direction and performance.

"They are also, importantly, based across our different studios and so will continue to reinforce our one team culture as well as our drive for excellence in all our service areas, from architecture and interiors to landscape architecture and urban design.
