GMI Construction Group has strengthened its presence in the North-West region by opening a new office in Manchester city centre.
The new premises are located in the Piccadilly Basin area of the city.
With 15 new staff members already recruited, the move follows the Group's continued success and a strong pipeline of projects in Manchester. Current deals include the Dakota Deluxe hotel for Evans Property Group and Burlington House, a residential development for Belgravia Living Group, with a combined value of approximately £40 million.
Andy Bruce, Managing Director, said: "We are pleased to announce our expansion with a physical presence in the North West. We operate cautiously and as a result have remained profitable for the 31 years that we have been established. However, our success in the region has been the result of long term investment and we now feel that the time is right to commit to a permanent base."
Marc Banks, Commercial Director, who is leading the new Manchester team, said: "I am delighted to take leadership of our Manchester office with a view to developing new and existing relationships and growing our portfolio of work in the region. It is exciting to be located in a developing area of the city where we can directly view progress of our own work of the Dakota Deluxe Hotel and Burlington House."
