Ardmore To Deliver £77m Hotel Scheme In Stratford

Ardmore Group has been appointed to build a new £77 million hotel development in Stratford, London.

Located on vacant plot next to Stratford International Station, The Gantry will feature a 285-bed hotel over 18-storeys by Hilton Curio and a 136 room longstay hotel over 17-storeys by Adagio. Lower levels will comprise of new bars and restaurants as well as a new sky-bar on the 18th floor.

Work on the single-story basement is to begin in the first quarter of this year, with Admore also developing the high-rise concrete frame. Externally, the building is enclosed with a feature curtain wall system with two-storey 'fins' rising up the cladding.

James Byrne, Ardmore director, said: "We are thrilled to have been selected for this major hotel, which promises to be another landmark development for Stratford City."

Warren Malschinger, Gantry Devco director, said: "The award of this build contract to Ardmore represents another significant milestone in the development of Stratford City and we are delighted that work is now underway on the Gantry."

The project is scheduled for the completion in 2020.
