Speller Metcalfe has been appointed to build a new £16.4 million museum in Derby.

The 'Museum of Making' will be developed at Derby Silk Mill, telling the story of the city and its' people's industrial heritage.

Speller Metcalfe will deliver the scheme using the Integrated Project Insurance procurement model. Work is due to start on the project next year, with the museum set to open in 2020 in line with the 300-year celebration of the Silk Mill.
