Specialist contractor Western Thermal has completed the acquisition of pipework engineering company, Henderson Site Services (HSS).
Western said the deal adds a further skillset to its construction offering as well as increasing the scope of services to industries it serves including pharmaceuticals, food processing, petrochemicals healthcare, leisure, and infrastructure.
Based in Blaydon on Tyne, Newcastle, HSS has over 100 employees and fabricates, installs and modulates all types of pipework systems, vessels and structures.
The company has completed projects for many of Western Thermal's own client base including Arla Foods' where HSS was contracted to install stainless steel platforms, along with the full process pipework system, service pipework and other hygienic pipework systems.
Trevor Horsley, Founder of Western Thermal, said: "The HSS acquisition adds to Western Thermal's already fast-growing business and, being entirely complementary in its skillset, represents a great step forward in terms of deliverability to the major industry players.”
Joe Henderson, of Henderson Site Services, added: "The unified power of Western Thermal plus HSS is a great example of where a combination is greater than the sum of the parts with the enlarged company able to offer pipework, thermal insulation, ducting and fire-stop engineering solutions for any project."
