Carillion has strengthened its senior team by appointing Justin Read as a new non-executive Director.
Mr Read will also takeover as Chairman designate of the Audit Committee from Andrew Dougal, who is retiring.
With vast industry experience, Mr Read was previously Group Finance Director of Segro from August 2011 to December 2016. In addition, he was Group Finance Director at Speedy Hire between 2008 and 2011.
Prior to working at Speedy Hire, Mr Read spent 13 years in a variety of roles at Hanson plc, including Deputy Finance Director, Managing Director of Hanson Continental Europe, Head of Corporate Development, Head of Risk Management and Group Treasurer.
He has also worked at Euro Disney S.C.A. and Bankers Trust Company, with his previous roles giving him financial and management experience working across a number of different industry sectors, including real estate, support services, building materials and banking; and across a number of jurisdictions.
In addition, Mr Read is currently Non-Executive Director of building products manufacturer, Ibstock, and UK real estate business Grainger.
