Western Thermal is continuing work on the £1 billion London Bridge Station redevelopment project.

The company has started the final phase of trace heating, thermal insulation and fire stopping work at the development, which is scheduled for completion in 2018.

Once finished, the improvements will increase train volumes by up to 30%.

Western Thermal's client for the London Bridge Station project is NG Bailey, with Costain being the main contractor.

Michael Slater, Executive Operations Director of Western Thermal, said: "London Bridge Station is a long-term project involving a cross-section of Western Thermal's skillset including Trace Heating, Thermal Insulation and Fire Stopping.

"Demand for multiple service offerings continues to increase across the construction sector and our integrated approach is increasingly called for."
