Building Services Design (BSD) has appointed Alexandra Kowalczuk as its new Business Development Consultant.

In her new role, Ms Kowalczuk will support the mechanical and electrical (M&E) engineering consultancy's services expansion into the East Midlands region.

In addition, she will work alongside BSD's Associate Director Jo Jones, who is based at the Birmingham office.

Speaking on her appointment, Ms Kowalczuk said: "I'm delighted to have joined such a well-established and well-regarded company.

"Prior to business development, I worked in local government for 30 years within various civic and elected members' offices; I headed up teams which were responsible for high profile events as well as operations and overseeing various civic offices and councillors.

"I've lived in Leicestershire my entire life and first came across BSD four years ago and have had a relationship with the team ever since. It's fantastic to now be officially on board and be part of the exciting future of the business as it works on more and more transformative projects in the region."

Ms Jones added: "We've known Alex for a long time and I'm sure she'll be a huge asset to the business and will assist in our long-term business goals."
