Construction News Image
Sweco has been appointed to a consultant framework with Notting Hill Housing.

The company will support the housing association as it aims to build nearly 8,000 new homes over the next five years, boosting its portfolio to 32,000 properties in London.

Sweco will provide transport planning and landscape architecture services as part of ongoing and future projects. The firm's appointment marks the first time transport planning services have been made available and the consultancy has already received commissions to provide assistance on two residential developments of over 100 units.

Kelly Harris, senior planning manager at Notting Hill Housing Group, said: "We have an ambitious aim of growing our property portfolio and are continually on the lookout for new development opportunities. We are determined to continue our work to provide high quality homes across a wide range of London boroughs for those who may not be able to afford them otherwise

"We are happy to add Sweco to our consultant framework and we are pleased to see the consultancy's expertise is already being used through the framework. The work undertaken by Sweco will ensure our projects are designed with efficiency and sustainability and provide residents with a fantastic place to live."

Mark Fitch, head of transport planning at Sweco's London office, said: "We are very proud to have been appointed to this four-year framework, particularly as this is the first time transport planning services are being made available. We are looking forward to delivering residential projects across London in partnership with Notting Hill Housing.

"We will utilise our significant experience to design projects with an efficient and safe transport infrastructure in place, as well as ensuring the projects are built in an environmentally friendly and cost effective way."
