Built environment brand specialist, CMDI, has been appointed to help boost and strengthen the commercial development of the Builders Merchants Federation (BMF).
The organisation said CMD's research-based approach will "help deliver customer focused benefits" to all of its members and stakeholders, allowing the BMF to "lead the industry in a way that delivers real value across the supply chain".
BMF Chief Executive Officer John Newcomb said: "This move is part of the Federation's successful ongoing transformation programme.
"This next phase is about sharpening our proposition to ensure we are meeting the needs of members exactly. A research programme and communications strategy will be developed to strengthen our positioning and raise our profile in the industry."
Dianne Lucas, CMDi's Managing Director, said the agency is "excited about working with the BMF, one of the most important and growing organisations in the sector".
