Western Power Distribution has awarded a two-year contract extension to Morrison Utility Services' (MUS).
The deal, which will continue MUS' existing framework agreement with the company, has an estimated value of over £30 million per year and will take effect in November.
The extension will see MUS continue to be responsible for excavation, cable laying and reinstatement works on behalf of Western Power Distribution across its East Midlands region.
Mike Harrison, Executive Director of MUS, said: "We are delighted to extend our relationship with Western Power Distribution with the award of this contract extension. Our mission now is to build on our strong working relationship with Western Power Distribution and to continue to deliver the highest safety and service delivery standards, driving a positive customer experience across its East Midlands operational region."
Simon Havill from Western Power Distribution added: "Western Power Distribution has a longstanding relationship with Morrison Utility Services. Maintaining this relationship will help both companies build on the high service standards that we have set ourselves to meet our customers' needs across the East Midlands."
