Interserve is continuing work on a new £25 million leisure centre in Eastleigh, Hampshire.
The new facility will replace Fleming Park Leisure Centre and completion is on schedule for later this year.
In addition, the venue has been named Places Leisure Eastleigh and will be operated by Places for People Leisure for the next 20 years.
Features will include; an eight-lane, 25-metre swimming pool (an increase from six lanes), a larger learner pool with an adjustable floor depth, and a 15-badminton court sports hall together with spacious fitness suites, studios and a café that opens onto Fleming Park.
Council Leader Keith House said: "We have had an excellent partnership with Places for People Leisure over the years and look forward to working with them to make Places Leisure Eastleigh a success for residents of the Borough and users from across the region. Our commercial arrangement, including the naming rights, means that the centre will be run at no cost to the Borough's council tax payers and will generate income that helps pay for frontline services."
Sandra Dodd, Chief Executive Officer of Places for People Leisure, said: "Our team are incredibly excited about working in this superb new venue and look forward to welcoming existing and new customers when we open."
