Electrical works on a new £12 million recycling and waste collection depot in London are now complete.

The project was delivered by REL as part of the new Oakleigh Road South Vehicle depot, which is being delivered by Willmott Dixon for Barnet Council.

The facility will allow the local authority to operate and maintain its waste and recycling collection fleet from a single site. Features include a vehicle maintenance building, cleaning bay, office areas, and refuelling and recycling facilities.

REL was appointed by Kershaw Mechanical Services to install various electrical services such as power, lighting, alarms, surveillance systems, access control and an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) System. contract also comprised the supply and installation of electric vehicle charging points, and PV panels on the depot's roof.
