Plans have been approved for a £300 million gas-fuelled power station in Wrexham.
More than 500 construction jobs are expected to be created by the development, which will be built on Wrexham Industrial Estate.
The developer, Wrexham Power Ltd, was granted planning permission by the Planning Inspectorate, after three years of public consultation.
The new plant will connect to the UK's gas network through a 3.5km underground pipeline east and south east of the industrial estate.
Once complete, it is expected up to 30 permanent jobs will be created.
