SES Engineering Services has won a £1.3 million contract to help deliver a school extension project in Northumberland.
Working on behalf of main contractor Galliford Try, SES will install all mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) services at a two-storey extension for The Duchess's Community High School in Alnwick.
In addition, SES will use its dedicated offsite manufacturing facility, Prism, to produce corridor modules.
Overall, the 3,239 sq m extension will create 24 additional teaching spaces to accommodate 400 extra students, along with a second kitchen facility. SES is due to begin work on site later this month.
SES' Business Director North, Steve Joyce said: "We're pleased to be back working with Galliford Try at The Duchess's Community High School. We'll be working closely with them to reduce any disruption to staff and pupils.
"By using prefabricated modules we will be able to speed up the build process, meaning that everything will be finished by August 2018, well in time for the start of the academic year."
