Work on a £9.7 million care home in Enfield is now complete.

Morgan Sindall has built a new home for 70 older people living in residential care at Old Road, replacing the previous Coppice Wood Lodge and Bridge House facilities.

Features include 70 bedrooms, 17 communal rooms, a landscaped garden, hairdressing salon and a modern kitchen. It is equipped to the highest Care Quality Commission standards with assisted bathroom hoists, specialist bathing equipment, lifts and safe storage for medication.

In addition, the building has been fitted with personal and en-suite facilities in every room and increases nursing care capacity in Enfield, offering more accommodation than the previous homes.

The BREEAM 'Very Good' development has also achieved an Energy Performance Asset Rating B-classification.
