Mitie has won a new contract with 'affordable' house builder Home Group.

The seven-year deal is worth around £84 million and has a further seven-year extension option, taking it's overall value to £168m.

The deal will see Mitie deliver responsive repairs, void works, servicing and heating repairs and planned works across central and northern regions of the UK.

Mat Bishop, Managing Director for Mitie's property management business, said: "I'm delighted to have been awarded the full-term contract with Home Group, after initially starting work on an interim basis. Rosemary Du Rose, Home Group executive director of operations, said: "Following a thorough tendering process we are delighted to have appointed Mitie to this contract. We're confident that they fully understand our social mission to delivering high-quality housing, repairs and maintenance to our customers living in the North West and central regions."
