McLaren Group has secured two deals worth over £90 million on Quintain's Wembley framework in London.
The first contract will see McLaren deliver around 320,000 sq ft of residential and retail space on plot W03 at Wembley Park. The mixed-use scheme comprises of two blocks, one of 10 storeys and the second of 15 storeys, featuring 340 build-to-rent units with associated common spaces and ground floor retail units.
Further works include reinforced concrete frame, brickwork façade with offsite prefabricated bathroom pods as well as external works including a new roadway.
Elsewhere, the Group has signed a deal for early works and Pre-Construction Services Agreement (PSCA) on the W06 plot located next to W03.
The scheme involves re-aligning a section of road known as Perimeter Way West and includes installing underground services below it. Further works include temporary sheet piling, reduced level excavations and load bearing piling for the future residential and commercial buildings on the plot.
The developments' completion dates are phased throughout 2018 and 2019.
John Butten, Regional Managing Director of McLaren Major Projects, said: "Following the successful appointment to Quintain's contractor framework, we are extremely pleased to be awarded this project next to Wembley Stadium.
"Our commitment and dedication working with Quintain and the design consultants to achieve success has been rewarded by the further appointment to a PCSA stage on the adjoining plot which is due to be awarded later this year.
"We are looking forward to constructing this prestigious project working with Quintain and in close coordination with the stadium for logistics purposes and in conjunction with the other contractors working on the framework at Wembley Park."
Matt Voyce, Executive Director – Construction, Quintain, added: "We are delighted to have concluded the contract for W03. Our 85-acre development at Wembley Park is set to become the largest single build to rent site in the UK and seeing it evolve over the last decade has been a real privilege. We look forward to working with McLaren on these two pivotal plots adjacent to the National Stadium."
