BAM Starts Work On £45m Greenwich All-Through School

BAM Construction has started work on a new £45 million all-through school on the Greenwich peninsula.

Enabling works are underway for the new St Mary Magdalene School on the corner of Millennium Way and John Harrison Way.

Spanning two hectares, the site includes community-use sports facilities and landscaping. The school will cater for up to 1,646 children from the age of three to the age of 19 and around 200 staff once finished in 2019.

Andy Mason, BAM Construction Director, London Region, said: "This is a complex scheme that has required a lot of careful co-ordination and planning. The St Mary Magdalene School will generate lasting benefits for local education in the borough of Greenwich."
