Cement logistics drivers working for Cemex UK have accepted a new pay deal.
Last month, staff threatened to take strike action after rejecting a previous offer of a 1.6% increase to pay and allowances backdated to 01 July 2016.
However, following further discussions between Cemex UK and Unite, drivers have accepted a deal which will see them receive a 1.6% increase in basic salary, as well as increased site location allowance payment.
In a joint statement, Unite and Cemex said: "Both parties have been committed to and worked together to reach an agreement. The agreed offer consists of seven parts, which achieves not only an increase to annual salary, but also offers better terms for the location allowance and the promise to work with the unions to look at how we can improve other conditions.
"We are now all committed to work together in the future for the best interest of our employees, our customers and our stakeholders."
