Wates has reached a milestone on a multi-million pound extra care housing development in West Yorkshire.
The company has handed over 21 homes to Together Housing Group, marking the completion of the second phase of the Gordon Place scheme at Westfield Lane, South Elmsall.
The first phase involved developing 45 new homes alongside Frickley Mews, a 67-apartment Extra Care scheme for over 50s.
Joanne Jamieson, Managing Director of Wates Residential, said: "We began work on the first phase of Gordon Place just three years ago and to see what has been achieved in the time since has given the team a huge sense of achievement. Innovative building solutions, including a number of off-site manufactured elements, twinned with our extensive expertise have maximised build efficiency ensuring that we brought these much-needed new homes to South Elmsall on schedule."
Hilary Brady, Head of Development at Together Housing Group, added: "The 21 new homes provide further new quality accommodation to our existing scheme already at Westfield Lane."
