The Future Of UK Studio Build Unveiled At BVE 2017

Amadeus Acoustic Solutions' BOXY modular studio system enjoyed a highly successful debut at BVE 2017 with visitors queuing to sample the room's environment and test its performance.

Although BOXY creators, B-BEng, have established a firm broadcasting pedigree in Europe, this was the first time that exclusive UK distributors, Amadeus, had officially introduced this incredibly popular build system to the UK TV, film and radio world; and the team were thrilled by the excitement that the studio generated.

Compared to traditional build methods, BOXY modular studios provide turnkey installation with no hidden costs and guaranteed internal and external performance. The studios are designed in line with client specifications and then manufactured and delivered in sections, making on-site installation extremely fast and efficient - 75% faster than traditional construction methods - resulting in a far cleaner, more manageable site.

Installed in just 2½ days, the 3m x 4m BM series room enjoyed almost permanent occupation during BVE 2017 as representatives of the broadcasting and production industry queued to sample the studio. Time after time eyebrows were raised as the 280kg door was swung shut, cutting out the hubbub of a busy, buzzing exhibition and the exceptionally 'dry' sound space was fully appreciated.

Some visitors were most impressed by the 0.2 - 0.4 seconds internal reverberation time, others by its sound reduction capabilities but, whatever the appeal, it was clear that a BOXY studio was being added to a number of professional wish lists.
