Interserve has started work on a new 206-unit apartment building in Birmingham.

The £26 million 'The Lansdowne' scheme involves developing a 16-storey tower at Hagley Road in the centre of the city. Completion is scheduled for 2019.

Features will include 139 one-bedroom, 63 two-bedroom and four, three-bedroom apartments together with a two-storey 77 space car park. In addition, residents will benefit from a concierge service, cycle storage, gym and a café.

The scheme is being delivered by a joint venture between real estate manager Long Harbour and property investment group Seven Capital, who will own the development once it is completed.
