VolkerWessels Scoops Accolades At British Safety Council Awards

VolkerWessels UK has picked up a number of accolades at the British Safety Council 'International Safety' Awards in London.

VolkerFitzpatrick secured two merit awards for their WAML star and Temple Mills Depot projects, while VolkerLaser and VolkerHighways received merit prizes for the Ashton Avenue Swing Bridge - Structural Refurbishment scheme and work with London Borough of Camden respectively.

In addition, VolkerRail picked up its fourth consecutive distinction in recognition of their commitment to keeping their workers and workplaces healthy and safe during the 2016.

Adrian Shah-Cundy, head of corporate social responsibility for VolkerWessels UK, said: "We are delighted to receive such amazing recognition for our commitment to safety across VolkerWessels UK. The safety and wellbeing of everyone working on our behalf is of paramount importance to us and these awards highlight the significant achievements we have made, and the measures we have in place to ensure this continues."
