ISG is continuing work on the £39 million redevelopment of Liverpool's Lime Street.
The first sections of steel are being erected by Billington Structures at the site adjacent to Lime Street Station, which will eventually comprise of five retail units at ground floor level, a 10-storey 412-bed student accommodation block and a three-storey 101-room Premier Inn hotel.
Over 1,300 tonnes of steel will be used to create the student accommodation and hotel. Work on the frames is expected to be finished by autumn.
Ion Development, Liverpool City Council and Sigma Capital form the partnership behind the scheme, with Ion carrying out the project on behalf of site owner, Curlew Student Trust.
