Five contractors have been appointed to Prime's new four-year Private Investment Construction (PIC) Framework.

Interserve, Kier, VINCI Construction UK, Willmott Dixon and Speller Metcalfe have all secured places on the £500 million healthcare construction framework, which has been set up to deliver privately-funded projects for the NHS and private healthcare operators.

Interserve, Kier, VINCI Construction UK and Willmott Dixon will work across Lots 1 and 2, while Midlands-based Speller Metcalfe has been appointed for Lot 2. Lot 1 will provide national coverage across England and Wales and is for projects generally in excess of £10million, with Lot 2 set-up for construction projects below this value and covering the 'South' and 'Central' regions.

Overall, the programme will enable the delivery of a range of new build and refurbishment projects across the acute, primary care, community care and elderly care sectors.

The calibre and experience of our contractor partners means we will be able to bring forward vital strategic projects for our NHS and private clients over the next four years."
