Up to 140 new homes are to be built on a former primary school site in Liverpool.
A joint venture (JV) between Lovell and The Riverside Group, Compendium Living, will deliver the £15.5 million scheme on the former Joseph Williams School site in Naylorsfield Drive, Belle Vale.
The JV is already building 16 shared ownership houses and 10 apartments, houses and bungalows at the site, with construction on the 140 homes scheduled to start soon. Significant landscaping and green space works will be carried out, along with building new footpath links from Viennese Road to Naylorsfield Drive. Completion is scheduled for 2020.
Lovell Regional Director, Nigel Yates, said: "We're extremely pleased to be continuing the transformation of this important site with Compendium Living. This is a scheme which is delivering major benefits for the Belle Vale community and these proposals will provide the new modern, high-quality homes for rent and for sale for which there is such a pressing need locally."
Mark Patchitt, Director of Development and Growth at Riverside, added: "I am really pleased that the latest phase of investment in Belle Vale is under way. It is another landmark in our long-term investment in Belle Vale. By working with our Joint Venture partner Compendium Living, we have been creating new homes and Belle Vale homes have never been in more demand."
